A 2.0 m long uniform rod with a mass of 12 kg rotates about an axis through its center. There are applied forces as shown in the diagram below. The moment of inertia for a rod rotating about its center is given by I=(1/12)ML2
a) Assuming a counterclockwise rotation is positive, calculate the net torque on the rod.
b) If the rod accelerates from rest, determine the time it takes the rod to rotate through a 180o
angle?
c) How many revolutions does the rod make in 3.0 s?
